A Look Inside…Ardell Individual Eyelashes

Here’s an inside look on what the Beauty with Julie gals have in their makeup kits at all times!

Individual eyelashes are a must for your wedding day! Do you want eyelashes that are darker, longer, more voluminous, and look great in pictures? The Beauty with Julie girls have just what you need! Our individual short lashes provide more volume, while the medium and long lashes are perfect for length. Most of our clients look great in black lashes, but for our fairer clients who have a lighter shade of lashes we recommend using brown eyelashes to avoid any harshness.

It only takes us an additional 5-10 minutes to apply these lashes during your make-up application so it is totally worth it! We use a mild adhesive to glue them onto the lashline one cluster at a time. This is usually done before mascara and foundation. The last step is a light coat of mascara to blend your natural lashes into your new falsies. They can be removed by soaking a warm washcloth on your eye and gently wiping them off, or using an eye makeup remover, baby oil, or makeup wipe. Individual lashes do not attach to your actual eyelashes so don’t worry about loosing your real ones! The best part? Many of our clients individual eyelashes last up to 1 week with the proper care. We recommend not letting any water run on them and avoid touching/rubbing your eyes. Honeymooning after your special day? Who wouldn’t want their lashes to stay on for days after their wedding?!

Love your lashes Xo

Maigan & Nick’s State Room Wedding

Maigan and Nick celebrated their marriage on October 18, 2014, at The State Room located in the heart of downtown Albany, New York. This sweet couple met in the library of the Sage College of Albany and from this point on it was pure bliss! I was fortunate to meet Maigan from The Knot Wedding Network. It has been a pleasure working with her as we developed a flawless look for her wedding day! I just love her simplistic yet passionate outlook on life. Maigan carried this through on her big day by incorporating a very special and sentimental surprise within her gorgeous bouquet done by her maid of honor. Maigan and Nick, it means so much to have witnessed the joy of your wedding day. Congratulations to you both on finding the perfect person to share all your days with!

A huge thank you to the extremely talented Trisha Millier for capturing these wonderful moments of Maigan and Nick’s special day! You can visit more of her amazing work here.

Emily & Simon’s Hancock Shaker Village Wedding

DSC_1973 (2)On 10.11.14 an English Groom (Simon) married his beautiful American Bride (Emily) at the  historic Hancock Shaker Village located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. I have so enjoyed working with Emily since April of 2014. For her special day, Emily decided on a natural eye with a hint of gray smoke to bring out her striking brown eyes, airbrush make-up, and eyelashes! I also had the pleasure of glamming for her sister/maid of honor and best friend, who were also apart of Emily’s bridal party.  Hair was done by the talented ladies of Sei Bella Salon of Chatham, New York. Emily’s wedding style exudes pure rustic elegance which compliments their colorful Autumn day! Now for the images…can we say Amazing?! I am beyond impressed with the talent of Sheri Angeles of Swanky Fine Art Weddings based in Southern California! Be sure to visit their page to see a glimpse of their incredible work! Thank you Emily and Simon, I’m so thankful you chose Beauty with Julie to witness the start of something so beautiful!

“Julie did such an amazing job on my wedding day makeup. She understood exactly what I wanted. When I was hesitant to use the airbrushing from a previously bad experience, I trusted that Julie understood my skin complexion and it looked perfect! The false eyelashes I had looked very real and natural- not too over the top.  We had such a fun time getting ready with Julie and I highly recommend her to any brides and wedding party members.”

Love is the shortest distance between hearts – Jill & Brian Pritchett Say “I Do”

Words cannot express how happy I am for one of my dearest and oldest friends who married her soul mate and best friend on September 13, 2014 at the Onteora Mountain House nestled in the catskill mountains. This venue easily captured my heart and will remain a favorite of mine! So…two years living in different area codes, but no matter the miles between them Jill and Brian have always been there for each other. Jill and Brian are a perfect pair who have made it so easy for each other! As they said their own vows and “I do’s,” it was truly a tender and triumphant moment for the two of them. I could literally feel their love and pride through the strength of their embrace..”We did it!” They portray an unconditional love that I know will last forever and always. Congratulations to the both of you, I wish you a lifetime of happiness on your next adventure together!!
